About once a semester, I get a cold.
Most colds are caused by the rhinovirus, which infects your upper respiratory tract and therefore derives its name from “rhinos,” the Greek word for macho unicorn nose.
As an offering of peace to Rhinovirus society (in the hopes that they might leave me alone this year), I decided to crochet their likeness. Turns out these viruses are very simple to crochet, because they’re basically glorified spheres. Rhinoviruses are extra fun because they have little stars/flowers all over them:

A variation on the rhinovirus is below as well. While I was at it, I made a little influenza friend to keep it company.
